Specialty Workshops

(Each is 4 Hours in Length)

Rapid Root Cause Analysis & Elimination

Pre-requisite: None

Does your company have a standardized method to perform Root Cause Analysis on critical problems and issues? Is your Business Area eliminating the root causes of the critical problems and issues or just caught in the routine mode of firefighting?

Kona Kai’s Rapid Root Cause Analysis & Elimination workshop walks through our proven, easy-to-learn 5-step methodology to rapidly analyze & eliminate the Root Cause of any problem or issue through assignable, measureable action items. This methodology has been used and proven in many companies, in multiple industries around the world. This course is useful for ANY employee, in ANY position, in ANY industry.

Kaizen Event Leader

Pre-requisite: Process Optimization – Level I (Introduction)

The word Kaizen comes from the Japanese language and directly translates as “change for the better”, although it is commonly translated in Japan culture and around the world as “continuous improvement”. It is the general principal to continually improve all functions, everyday, at every level of the company.

A Kaizen Event (or Blitz) is typically a 2-5 day session, which focuses on making radical, quick changes to streamline, optimize or enhance a process or service. If executed correctly, not only are processes remarkably and rapidly changed, but also, these events offer an efficient and effective way to teach critical thinking and develop proper problem solving skills to all the participants.

Kona Kai’s Kaizen Event Leader workshop reviews the required pre-work and necessary planning of a Kaizen Event, discusses the importance of establishing key Event objectives, reviews the major Process Optimization concepts and tools used throughout the Event, enhances team leadership and facilitation skills, reinforces the importance of proper change management and establishes proper Event close-out and follow-up procedures.
