Lead System Architect


Job Description


Your primary function is to design, develop, and maintain the applications on the Pega Platform that adhere to the Pega best practices. Partner with Business System Analyst to gather business and system requirements. Translate complex business requirements into functional technical requirements. Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle, taking high ownership of the final product. Understand business objectives and problem solves challenges to achieve a successful outcome. Participate in user story development, documents design, unit testing, and Ensure architecture are within the Pega Guardrails. Develop user interface, service tier, data tier components, infrastructure, or security for PRPC. Mentors business and technical team members on processes and standards to promote consistency and improve productivity.

Skills Required


  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
  2. 7-10 years of progressive Pega experience or master’s degree with 5 years of experience in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise-level business solutions and applications
  3. Pega Lead System Architect certification is required (Pega 7 preferred)
  4. Strong understanding of Pega methodologies (i.e Pega done the Pega way!)
  5. Experience with various Cloud platforms and technologies
  6. Experience working with multiple project methodologies, including agile, scrum and waterfall
  7. Excellent time management and organization skills as well as the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  8. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate
  9. Willingness to go the extra mile for the client
  10. Dedication to a team-oriented environment with the ability to drive and lead by example
  11. Ability to define and enforce best practices in PEGA architecture / design / coding
  12. Exposure to a variety to technologies, including object-oriented techniques/principles, database design, application & web servers, not just Pega.
  13. Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; ability to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders
  14. A positive attitude and self-motivated with a thirst for knowledge
